Kathryn Dias, Owner / CEO

Hi, my name is Kathryn Dias and I am the designer of Designer Shoe Bags™. It all started when my husband and I were attending a very special event. I was excited not only because I had the perfect dress but I had also found the sexiest and cutest high heels ever... Now all you ladies know what I'm talking about, the excitement and happiness was through the roof.

The day of the event was approaching. We packed our suit cases and my shoes were "Safely" traveling in the shoe bag they came with and off we went. I was excited to start getting ready and everything was going according to plan...Dress...check...Hair done...check...Make up...check...

Now it was time to unveil my Cinderella shoes. The shoes were color nude with ankle straps and the heels encrusted with Swarovski Crystals. I was so excited that I left the best for last. Boy, Oh Boy! What a mistake!! To my surprise some of the crystals broke and others completely came off. I did not know if I was upset with the airlines for not being careful with my luggage or the shoe designer for providing such a cheap shoe bag for such beautiful and expensive shoes.

To some ladies the night is all about the dress but for me that night was all about the shoes and that night was just not my night. I had everyone scrambling trying to find me a new pair, no luck there. The show must and will go on with or without me. However, I told myself this will never happen to me again. On my way back home all I could think about was how I didn't get to wear my pretty shoes and that's when the idea came to me. I thought, "If they had not been rubbing against each other 'would they have made the trip safely?" So when I got home I immediately started working on a plan. It wasn't easy but once my wheels started turning there was no stopping me...That is when I came up with the design. My first bag was complete and ready for travel, I loved it! The more I traveled the more uses I found for the bag.

Now the men's shoe bag was another experience. My husband travels more than I do, a few days before he would leave on his trips he would take his shoes to the best place in town to get them shined. Then he would either pack them in the dust bag they came in or in a plastic bag. For so long I watched him do that and never questioned him. I just thought "He's a man". But when I would travel with him I started to notice that soon after arriving to our hotel that he would get his shoes shined again. Now that got on my nerves... First of all, if we were running late to our meeting or event we are now for sure going to be really late and second, that was another extra expense. So, one day I asked him "why are you getting them shined again" and he answered "During the travel my shoes rub against one another and got scuffed", so again that bright light bulb in my head came on and I thought why not make him his own shoe bag, so I did just that. I am pleased to know that he is very happy and gets the best use out of his bags. He takes them everywhere and even puts his running shoes and golf shoes in them.

I never thought of making the bags for anyone else but I knew that I had to share them with all of you. The bags had to be perfect. There was a lot of trial and error; first few bags were good but not quite perfect. I wanted more so I thought, what is it that I can do to "Save your Soles™?" So there I went back to the drawing board. The concept was the same but the design had to be appealing, stylish and very functional with a multi purpose use.

My Custom Handmade Designer Shoe Bags™ was invented with your shoes in mind. Our Patent Pending Design includes a satin liner and divider that will help extend the life of your shoes by keeping them separated, protecting them from damaging one another, minimizing the wear and tear that would normally take place while your shoes are packed away or in transit, as well as keeping them polished. No more scuffing, dust or scratches. The bags are custom hand made with great attention to detail, with the finest hand picked fabrics which I do. From that day on my mission became to "Save Your Soles™"
